Our 20 year old daughter, Carys, Christmas break last month. From here she flew to London, via Antananarivo and Paris to participate in a three week course in the UK. Somewhere between Madagascar and London - probably the notorious Charles De Gaulle Airport - her suitcase went missing.
Carys has traveled a fair bit in her life. And yes, she knows better than to wear summer clothes on a flight headed into winter without having a back up in her carry on. It all would have worked were she travelling on a US carrier where carry ons are not weighed. Sh he had a 22” roll aboard and a day pack as a personal item. But in Europe hand luggage is often weighed and Air France has a total combined weight allowance of 12 kilos (26 lbs) Carys’ roll a board was 4 kilos over, so she checked her bag. And that was the last she saw of it for the next 19 days…
